X-ray
X-ray is a method of visualising body structures such as bones, vessels and internal organs.
X-rays travel through the body and are absorbed in different amounts depending on their density. They can then be captured and made visible. Bones, for example, which consist of dense tissue, attenuate X-rays more strongly than softer tissue and produce therefore a higher contrast on X-ray images.
