Slicing
In dentistry, slicing means to trim a small thickness of tooth enamel from the sides of the selected teeth to give them enough space to rotate into the right position. This procedure is carried out with slicing strips.
Around the areas of the teeth that need slicing, the enamel is fairly thick, making it possible to safely remove up to 0.5 mm of enamel. The natural pressure of the lips and tongue straightens and realigns the teeth.
