Professional tooth cleaning
PTC – professional tooth cleaning indicates the mechanical cleaning of the teeth carried out by a dentist or a trained specialist. It is a preventive measure (prophylaxis) to keep teeth healthy.
During the PTC, teeth and interdental spaces are thoroughly cleaned, the tartar is removed and teeth are polished. PTC is carried out with hand instruments: scalers, brushes, dental floss, ultrasonic devices. In addition, residual deposits and discolouration can be removed with the help of powder jet devices.
