Mandibular expander
The mandibular expander is used in orthodontics to treat crowding of the lower jaw.
Similar to the palatal expander, this appliance also exerts pressure on the jaw and teeth to expand the jaw. With this orthodontic appliance, individual teeth can be shifted by means of wire springs.
